Siboney Cellars Information

Siboney Cellars (See-bo-NAY) is a 100% Texas Winery located on US 290 four miles west of Johnson City in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Founded in 2017 by Miguel and Barbara Lecuona, Siboney was built around two things they cared about from the start: serious Texas wine and warm, personal hospitality. Barbara has led Siboney winemaking since the first vintage. In 2019, Bill and Mary Anne Waldrip joined them as partners, and together they acquired and developed a beautiful 52-acre limestone plateau in the heart of Texas wine country. The full-production winery, barrel cellar and tasting room opened in 2021. That same year, Siboney planted its Estate Merlot vineyard on the sloping limestone terrace overlooking the winery. In 2026, Siboney released the first wine from that vineyard, the 2023 Estate Merlot. Today, guests experience Siboney through seated wine tastings, guided vineyard and cellar tours, culinary pairings, Thursday Twilight, wine club releases, live music, Cuban-inspired gatherings, cigar events, special dinners and an active calendar of events throughout the year. The name Siboney comes from the celebrated Cuban love song written by Ernesto Lecuona, Miguel’s great-uncle. The Lecuona family journey from Cuba to Texas remains part of the winery’s identity, alongside Barbara’s winemaking and the landscape and culture of the Texas Hill Country.
