Since SIACH is committed to providing the students with a meaningful encounter and dialogue with contemporary Israeli society, the program will provide intensive instruction in the Hebrew language (see also Academic Studies). Finally, experiencing Israel at SIACH is not only about what Israel offers our students but what our students can offer the citizens of Israel. Thus, students will spend one afternoon a week volunteering in a number of frameworks in the neighborhood of the program such as nursing homes and homes for the handicapped, day-care centers, and hospitals.
