In 2016, we launched Shine with a driving purpose and an ambitious desire to change a flawed process. We had grown tired of the impersonal, transactional nature of recruitment, where we felt like a number. Our hearts yearned for something more meaningful. Powered by this passion and a hearty dose of gumption, we ventured into a field where we had no formal training. However, what we did have was a clear understanding of our values and the kind of organizations we aspired to partner with - those that put their people first. For over eight years, we’ve leaned into our intuition and experience working side-by-side with many of the roles we now place. Having worked within advertising agencies, start-ups and corporations has given us the unique perspective of what a day in the life of our candidates looks and feels like. This has proven to be a valuable tool for our clients and candidates alike. Today, our purpose remains the same, though we are grateful for the continuous learning this journey offers.
