SHIFT is developing and scaling new approaches in the social sector designed to take on the global crises of our time and change our economic, environmental, and political systems for the future. SHIFT will rollout a series of new services and programs over the next two years with a focus on: 1) Collaborative Capacity-Building Launching in Summer 2012, Shift.org is a new online hub for the social sector, where people can help each other do social change better while spreading sector innovation. Shift.org will provide an integrated suite of innovative programs and practical services including the first online school for social change, central resource and media libraries, peer-to-peer support forums and groups, and an online marketplace for consulting and coaching. 2) Strategic Intervention In 2013, SHIFT will be rolling out LaunchPad and the SHIFT Cooperative Group as new collaborative models for launch, early stage support, and scaling of new campaigns and organizations that target these urgent gaps. 3) Sector Innovation We believe that the social sector today needs to synthesize and build upon the best of the social movement wave of the 60’s and 70’s and the best of the direct services and social solutions wave of the last few decades into a third wave for the social sector. Sector innovation is woven throughout all of SHIFT services and programs to support and accelerate the emergence of this third wave of the social sector.
