Shift Workspace Information

Shift Workspace is a coworking space in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. We provide open, shared workspaces for people to work on their own projects in a context of community, collaboration, and creativity. Today, Birmingham’s growing community of software developers, designers, independent entrepreneurs, social media experts, writers, consultants and corporate teleworkers is dispersed across the city in coffee shops and home offices. While working at home is cool, it can often be lonely and isolating. Coffee shops are even cooler, but can be loud, chaotic, and not so good for that client meeting or phone call. We want to be a central gathering place- in our beautiful downtown loft district- where Birmingham’s creative class works and meets amongst like-minded people in a cafe-like environment. The space will be available on a monthly membership basis, as well as by the day. And yes, we will have coffee.
