Shift Thermal helps data centers get more compute from the power they already have. Our patented FLEX™ thermal storage cuts the power a facility's cooling draws at peak to free it for compute. The same technology is field-deployed today in commercial cooling, and it is now moving into the data center. Founded in 2017 by two Cornell PhDs who joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Innovation Crossroads program, Shift Thermal has developed FLEX with public and private support to deliver high value thermal energy storage.
