SHIELD Mentor Program Information

The SHIELD Mentor Program (SHIELD) Mentoring Model is a facilitated curriculum-based, leadership building intensive program focused on four-stage sessions: Strengthen, Help, Inspire and Encourage Leadership Development. Together, youth and adults participate in interactive workshops and team-building exercises that focus on a variety of leadership development topics to prevent youth from making poor life decisions, engage them in constructive activities and enhance a positive future through an environment that is exciting, inspirational, engaging and educational. SHIELD Mentor Program is a member of MENTOR's www.mentoring.org national mentoring network which “has been working to expand the world of quality mentoring. MENTOR believes that, with the help and guidance of an adult mentor, each child can discover how to unlock and achieve his or her potential.”
