The school has a 12-week accelerated software development program designed to help diverse individuals become software engineers. Graduates have received jobs at top tech companies such as Facebook, Eventbrite, and New Relic.
New online courses have been recently launched in order to give individuals an opportunity to pursue their technical goals in a more flexible setting. Hackbright Academy is dedicated to changing the gender ratio in the tech industry.
Girls Who Code is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology, with the goal of reaching 5 million girls, women, and nonbinary individuals by 2030. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and champion girls, women, and nonbinary people, with a special focus on historically underrepresented groups, to become changemakers in tech. We are committed to increasing access to the technology field for all, equipping the next generation to thrive in emerging fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other transformative technologies shaping the 21st century.
Since launching in 2012, Girls Who Code has reached over 760,000 students through our in-person and virtual programming. Of these, 330,000 alumni are now college or career-aged, ready to lead in tech.
Girls Who Code has sparked culture change through marketing campaigns and advocacy efforts, generating 14.9 billion impressions globally, with notable campaigns such as Doja Code, the world’s first codeable music video with Doja Cat. Girls Who Code has been named The NonProfit Times' Best Nonprofits to Work For three years in a row and recognized as one of Fast Company’s Brands that Matter.

Together, WWCode created over 20,000 community-led technical trainings, empowered individuals with $3.5 million in scholarships, and dedicated over a million hours to volunteer service. Women Who Code connected people to more than 14,000 career opportunities, all while nurturing leadership growth and career advancement strategies. Women Who Code fostered a global network through every connection and effort where everyone felt a sense of community and support. PRESENT
We are humbled to welcome Women Who Code to the LWT family of brands. Our two unique brands share the common passion of uniting business and technology leaders from all backgrounds to level up their skills, network with professionals who can support their career growth and increase their economic power. And we’ve both made an intentional decision to focus our value on mid-senior leaders.
Despite the challenges of limited financial resources, we are committed to this community of brilliant leaders. We’re not backing down—we’re doubling down. But we want to be clear, this is not a merger; instead, our team is expanding our family of brands to build upon all of the work Women Who Code has done over the last decade.
Whether you’re coding your first line or leading the charge at the highest levels, Women Who Code, we want to support you.
