SheSecures is a global community dedicated to women professionals and enthusiasts in cybersecurity. Our mission is to raise awareness about cybersecurity and information security, while engaging existing professionals in knowledge sharing and mentorship. We aim to guide and inspire women interested in this dynamic field. How We Achieve This Our community consists of a group of 400+ members, backed by nearly 12,000 global supporters. SheSecures offers spaces for learning, access to the latest job opportunities, and networking with professionals in various cybersecurity domains. Our Founders SheSecures was founded by four remarkable women—Lilian , Hamdalah, Kesiena, and Sophina —during the NaijaSecCon Hackathon, a cybersecurity conference held in Nigeria. Realizing they were the only women participants, they vowed to bring more women into the field. Our Goals Our primary aim is to grow our community and put more young African women on the global cybersecurity map. We provide a vibrant platform for learning, bonding, and thriving, whether as hobbyists or professionals. Our Impact SheSecures offers a robust support network and practical opportunities for African women worldwide to deeply engage with technology. Through workshops, mentorship programs, internships, and partnerships, we deliver tangible benefits and real-world impact. Our efforts directly contribute to the increased presence of African women in tech and cybersecurity.
