The Queensland Academies are state schools for highly-capable students in Years 10 to 12. They are located across three campuses in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Australia.
A bridge between high school and tertiary study, the Academies are designed to maximise the potential of bright students and prepare them for university.
St Peters Lutheran College, the largest independent school in Queensland, has a fine tradition of providing Christian co-education for Prep to Year 12 day students and Boarders from Years 6–12. As a co-educational College, our students learn and work together as they will do in their adult lives, and we welcome students of all Christian denominations and other religious or philosophical perspectives.
We have two schools in Indooroopilly (Prep–Year 12 day and boarding) and Springfield (Kindergarten–Year 12 ), and a dedicated Outdoor Education Centre. Through our Sub Schools, St Peters is uniquely placed to meet the developmental needs of your child, whatever their age and abilities.
At St Peters, our commitment to our students is three-fold: to provide opportunities for academic achievement, servant leadership and spiritual development. Through provision of innovative and enthusiastic teaching, St Peters offers a varied curriculum and multiple future pathways for Years 11 and 12 students in Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority subjects, International Baccalaureate Diploma and Vocational education.
Our commitment to our students and parents goes beyond the classroom. We offer a comprehensive Cocurricular program including sporting, musical, arts, and community activities, and our Year 9 students engage in a five-week Outdoor Education experience at our iconic Ironbark property.
Ipswich Grammar School is one of Queensland’s leading independent schools, catering for boys from Prep to Year 12 through the outstanding education offered to day and boarding students.
With over 160 years of experience in teaching boys, we understand what makes them tick. Over this time we have developed and implemented innovative approaches to address the specific learning needs of boys.
Every day is stimulating, unique and exciting. We tap into boys’ sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them. By tailoring programmes and activities to meet our students’ specific needs, we ensure every boy has the opportunity to reach his full academic, cultural and social potential.
Today’s world is ever-changing. We embrace innovation at Ipswich Grammar and the challenges it brings. We encourage our boys to explore exciting new possibilities, exposing them to different opportunities and experiences that will set them on the path to being confident, connected lifelong learners who also possess strong moral values.
We foster an encouraging environment that delivers more than exceptional academic results. Our GPS status sees boys from Years 5 to 12 take part in various activities between member schools. Whether it is sport, debating, the Arts, literacy, or the Sciences, our students are given the opportunity to excel and network in any field. They are supported by staff from various backgrounds that bring world-class knowledge and experience to the classroom, playing field, and laboratories.
