Our work demonstrates a people-first approach to placemaking, creating vibrant neighbourhoods and long-term social sustainability. we deliver innovation through strategic commercial thinking, a strong design rationale and modern construction methods deployed for speed and efficiency. our enterprising approach challenges design assumptions to add value for clients and end users. rigorous, rational yet playful, our ideas give buildings and places a strong identity which helps realise both commercial and social ambitions. building on the strengths and emotional connections inherent in the built and social fabric of a city, our thoughtful interventions create a rich and sustainable sense of place. each scheme is considered as a piece of the city, the spaces between as important as the individual buildings in expressing heritage, community and place. from our studios in london and liverpool, where we were established 25 years ago, we continue to be at the forefront of regenerative placemaking, with a UK-wide portfolio of transformational schemes, and vibrant new city neighbourhoods rooted in the historic urban grain. creating desirable places in which people want to live and work, impacts the economic viability of development and unlocks long-term commercial opportunity. shedkm works in partnership with clients to offer flexibility, pragmatism, and a proactive approach to problem solving. we are adept at working within the constraints of tight urban sites or limited budgets, maximising opportunities within a brief to add value.
