Philight Pty Ltd is the software author of Sharperlight and Philight Software International manages the global reseller channel, develops the Datamodel Connectors and provides consulting services. Sharperlight holds a unique place in the business intelligence landscape, it is a self-service enterprise reporting suite that empowers end-users with web reporting, dashboarding and seamless integration into Microsoft Excel. It uses a Datamodel Connector to expose data tables and this separation layer cacoons the end-user from the complexities of databases, data structures and data security. Off the shelf Datamodel Connectors are available for applications ranging from ERP, EAM, Human Resources, Mine Production, Time and Billing, and Project Costing. The Sharperlight Datamodels are extremely adaptable and often a single Datamodel can support multiple versions of the same application database and even different database engines. For bespoke solutions, Sharperlight has a free datamodelling toolset that customers and software partners can use to develop their own data access layers. The technology is bi-directional and Datamodels can be enhanced to support bulk upload from Microsoft Excel and web data entry forms.
