While a law student, I was also practicing surgery or working as an science advisor for the patent practice of a law firm. In addition, I became a mom during my second year. These were my only "extracurricular activities" during law school.)

  Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) (During my graduate studies, I was actively practicing medicine and training for athletic competition. Patient care work and athletic training were my main extracurricular activities.)

  Master’s Degree (I was practicing medicine while in graduate school and training for athletic competition. These were my only outside activities.)

• Duke University School of Medicine

  Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) (During medical school, I was training for athletic competition. This occupied all of my time apart from my studies and research.)

  Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction (Phi Beta Kappa, intercollegiate athletics; in addition, I worked nights and weekends as a professional musician.)
