Clothing is access to opportunity — and sometimes it’s the first step out of crisis. Sharia’s Closet is San Diego’s community hub for dignity-based clothing access. From our primary hub in El Cajon’s Rolando Village, we operate inside San Diego’s Family Justice Centers and alongside Episcopal Community Services — embedded in the same infrastructure serving survivors, families, veterans, and individuals rebuilding their lives. Since founding, we’ve served 64,000+ individuals and families across San Diego County, connecting 200+ community partners through one centralized system. From North County to National City, we process 50,000+ garments annually — every item sorted, and personally matched — because dignity is not optional. Our hub model centralizes donation intake and distribution under one roof, creating measurable, reportable impact for the partners and corporations who invest in this work. We offer employee volunteer activation, ESG-aligned sponsorship tiers, naming opportunities, workforce readiness programs (including Career Closets for job seekers), and a model designed to replicate in any city. We hold the 2025 GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency and have been recognized by the California State Senate, State Assembly, and U.S. Congress. Clothing is not a luxury.
