Shared Voice delivers better planning outcomes by making engagement more representative at every stage of the planning process. The traditional ‘tell us what you think’ model relies heavily on a small, self-selecting audience. This can leave supportive voices unheard and give decision-makers an incomplete picture of local opinion. We do engagement differently. Our research-led approach reaches beyond the usual participants to reveal genuine community sentiment, identify local supporters and help them make their individual voices heard. From pre-application through to post-submission, committee and appeal, we help build a public mandate for development, giving councils a more balanced picture of local opinion, reducing planning risk and giving councillors greater confidence to approve schemes. We work across housing, commercial, infrastructure and energy with developers, public bodies, local authorities and social housing providers across the UK. Our impact: 14,000 supporters - 30,000 homes approved - 80% success rate Shared Voice is a member of the British Polling Council. We are the team that established Just Build Homes: a purpose-built brand that connects supporters of housebuilding with the planning process.
