The Share&Charge Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that enables open innovation for a better electric vehicle charging experience. With its members from the E-Mobility industry, it is curating the open-source development of the Open Charging Network, making digital connections based on the Open Charge Point Interface protocol as simple, secure and cost-efficient as possible. https://shareandcharge.com/open-charging-network/ Our road to a seamless & smart charging world: Q2/2017 - Share&Charge 1.0 goes live and is the first global EV charging solution on the public Ethereum blockchain. Q4/2017 - Oslo2Rome Pilot Project 1.0 Tour throughout Europe proves seamless access to charge points across different countries via a blockchain network. Q3/2018 - Share&Charge Goes Open.A fully open-source and decentralized charging network based on blockchain technology was developed and tested. Q4/2018 - Setup of Non-Profit Foundation. Share&Charge is incorporated as a non-profit foundation in Switzerland with the purpose of curating the development of Share&Charge technology. First partners join the foundation. Q1/2019 - In-Car Wallet Pilot. Share&Charge technology is used for Machine-to-machine payment in combination with the EV charging standard ISO 15118. Q3/2019 - Open Charging Network Publicly Available for Testing. The decentralized Open Charging Network which enables the Electric Vehicle charging community to offer a simple, secure and cost-efficient charging experience.
