Metalflex is the part of the largest air-conditioning componentry and unit wholesaler in Australia, with 16 branches nationally. Metalflex is part of the AC Components Group, one of Australia's leading supplier of air-conditioning and componentry products. Metalflex was founded in 1999, in a small factory in Northgate Drive in Thomastown by Russell and Gael Amiguet. From small beginnings of a team of 3, Metalflex quickly grew - achieving sales and growth beyond first expectations. Components was created as the parent company for Metalflex and Air Plus to follow the future strategy of growth. Today AC Components has 19 branches nationally: 10 in Victoria 3 in New South Wales 1 in Canberra 2 in South Australia 2 in Western Australia 1 in Queensland In December 2010, the AC Components Group was acquired by Actrol Parts which in turn is managed by Catalyst Investment Managers, a leading Australasian Private Equity firm. Although part of the larger Actrol Group of companies, AC Components today is run independently of the Actrol Parts business with a future strategy of: Growth through acquisition Branch expansion Continual new product innovation and development Streamlining branch operational efficiencies and customer service levels ...
