Shaper/Caper Information

Shaper/Caper is a charity all about dancing, prancing, and romancing....well, maybe not the romancing bit, but we hope to make you fall in love with dance. We present the work of multi award winning choreographer, Thomas Small. Thomas is the first ever BBC Radio 2 Artist in Residence. Whoop! He is also a fellow on the coveted Clore Leadership Programme, and former Choreographer in Residence at The Space in Dundee. Thomas’ critically acclaimed work has been presented all over the shop, from international visits to New York, Belgium and to Sao Paulo in Brazil; to choreographing the opening of V&A Dundee. We also do some rather nifty creative learning projects including A Day to Play, performance workshops for people of all ages and our super duper project, Well Good, delivered in partnership with NHS Tayside. Perhaps that’s why we won the Inspirational Education and Outreach Work at the One Dance UK Awards in 2020! Yay!
