The Ability Center is a non-profit Center for Independent Living (CIL) serving northwest Ohio. Our mission is to assist people with disabilities to live, work, and socialize within a fully accessible community. The Ability Center service area includes Lucas, Ottawa, Wood, Fulton, Henry, Defiance, and Williams counties. Established in 1998, Enable Me provides products that help people with limited mobility and others seeking a better state of health lead a fuller life. The company works with the world’s leading international manufacturers to bring their innovative products to the U.S. We specialize in movement therapy, functional electrical stimulation, assistive technology, robotics and rehabilitation equipment. Enable Me also works with researchers at the world’s top universities and hospitals, including Johns Hopkins University, the National Institutes of Health, UCLA, Duke University and others, test and use our equipment in their research and in the daily care and treatment of their patients. Enable Me focuses on a continuum of care, from hospital to home. We provide state-of-the-art equipment to hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and we support patients and their families as they work to increase their independence in their homes.
