Shand are the world’s leading manufacturer of offshore marine hose couplings confirming to OCIMF 1991 or GMPHOM 2009 guidelines with a history going back 40 years. The company can manufacture couplings up to 24in in diameter in materials conforming to BS EN ISO 10204 3.1 or 3.2 suitable for sweet or sour service and with NDT requirements suitable for low temperature applications or rough sea conditions. Renowned for the Shand Swaging method, machines and fittings we have many customers that have been using the same machine for decades. Shand pioneered the use of swaged coupling technology for use in RTP (Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe) pipelines and have been working closely with customers to develop suitable couplings for over 15 years. More recently the company has developed a range of spill prevention products, CleanBREAK. Working closely with customers in the Oil & Gas industry in particular we targeted weaknesses in the more established brands. The result was a range of 1" - 4" Team Spec couplings rated to higher pressures but still being lighter and more user friendly. After development of the Spill Prevention Couplings, rotary swivel joints and safe breaking couplings followed.
