ShakaCode Information

ShakaCode is a global, remote-first software consultancy helping engineering organizations ship production software and adopt AI coding agents safely and effectively. Founded by Justin Gordon in late 2011, we combine hands-on engineering, delivery leadership, and open-source experience to help teams move from scattered AI experiments to dependable workflows. We advise and implement Codex and other agentic development systems, reusable skills and prompts, CI and review guardrails, evaluation, asynchronous multi-agent execution, and the management practices needed to operate them. We also build and modernize high-performance Rails, React, and TypeScript products through ShakaStack. Our open-source projects—including React on Rails and Shakapacker—have surpassed 23 million combined downloads. ShakaCode has operated globally for more than a decade, approached 50 people at its largest, and today has a strong distributed team of roughly 25–30. We support both U.S. and Asia-Pacific hours and offer assessments, pilot programs, implementation, enablement, and ongoing delivery support.
