SGC - Smart Grid Control Information

Composed of seasoned automotive electronics engineers and system experts, SGC is an EE Architecture Services and Solutions provider. SGC provides full support and services to OEMs and Tier1/Tier 2 suppliers, that enables a full focus on the car functions. SGC unleashes the EE designer/developer’s sense of innovation by refocusing on « Functions First » and introduces radical improvements to diminish power consumption and weight of EE systems, while improving global reliability, safety and performances. Ongoing developments include 12/24/48 Volt comfort & body architectures, High Power electric/hybrid mobility solutions and connectivity. Seat, light and door subsystems are readily available. A full implementation of ASG, combining both high voltage (EV/HEV) and 12 Volt car architectures, has already been prototyped and tested on the road. The ASG solution, the nextgen on-board Automotive Smart Grid management solution, combines three fundamental innovations : • Synchronous and distributed task management of all systems elements, that allow many different functions to run in parallel, smoothly and safely, • Communication between the electronic units using automotive powerline protocol (PLC), diminishing weight and cost of harnesses, • Local « reflex » ultra-fast functions in each electronic unit, to enable sensorless functions, actuators health monitoring and harness protection.
