Wool Warehouse is owned and run by Holly and Andy, who set up the company. We are very proud to be an independent retailer. While this means we may not have the resources of our larger competitors, we continually reinvest back into the business, and are gradually able to increase the range of yarns we offer, as and when time, funds and space allow. In 2022, we launched our in-house brand of yarn, Yarnsmiths.

Cotswold Needlecraft has been trading since 2001 and over this time we have continued to bring our customers all of the products they would need for their hobby. Today we have our Evesham store, stocking the largest range of products that we have ever stock. This means you will be able to find something for your next project.

The Bramble Patch was founded in 1987 by Anne Willcox and Heather Marriott. Anne blames Heather for the initial idea - she'd studied a City & Guilds course in embroidery and enjoyed the patchwork component most, but had difficulty sourcing good craft fabrics for quilt making. So, over coffee, they decided (as you do) to source and sell some fabric and keep some for themselves! Despite being tucked away in the Northamptonshire countryside, their little shop and the classes they offered soon outgrew the room they were using in Anne's house, and then outgrew the several rooms in the bigger house she later moved to. By 1993, The Bramble Patch was in need of a permanent home. At first, their viewing of a redundant Catholic church built in 1971 seemed unpromising - it was surrounded by undergrowth, the windows had been smashed by vandals and part of the flat roof had caved in. Despite that, Anne and Heather could see the potential, and with support from friends and family, they completely renovated the property making adaptations as well as structural repairs. After two months of hard work, the brand new Bramble Patch was opened in January 1994. Later that year, their vision was recognised when it was awarded the Rural Enterprise Award, sponsored by the Rural Development Commission, for rural conversion, renovation and regeneration. Heather retired in 2000, leaving Anne in sole charge, managing a growing team of shop staff, designers, long arm quilters, and an expanding roster of regular teachers and visiting workshop tutors from around Britain and abroad. When they moved into the former church, Anne had no idea that over the next 17 years, there would be another refit - to build in the mezzanine floor and the stairs up to it - and three extensions to create more space for the flourishing business.
