Setu Information

I am Setu, born on 24-02-2003 in Delhi, India. In my initial years I was trying to find my feet & in 2007 I started endeavouring to Enable the Growth of Children and Youth, Empowerment of Girl child / Women and Caring for Human Health. To know more what I do visit on a regular basis https://www.facebook.com/mysetu.org/. In the year 2007, I started grooming “Out of School” children at centres across NCR. Over 700 children we admitted to schools for formal education. In 2008 Sixty Girls were selected for a Special Education Scholarship & I moved from Grooming into Formal education a more sustainable model of continuous & quality education to Unserved Children. My school in Nithari Village Noida is now 8 Years old and has 294 children. In 2012 I forayed into Skilling the under-served for employment catering to the illiterate, Semi- literate & Literate. At my first Skill centre I offered Digital Learning & Tailoring Skills. As I grew older i added Hand Embroidery & High-end Tailoring on Industrial Machines to centres across Delhi, Pondicherry, Trichy, Noida & Ghaziabadand skilled 2770 people(118 with special needs). In 2015,I set up a Multi-Skills Centre in Noida offering courses in Digital Learning, Health Care, Tailoring ,Hand Embroidery and Beauty & Wellness under the Setu Women Empowerment & Employability program catering to over 225 students per Quarter. Over the last 4 years I have successfully skilled 3709 people (3097 women) and have placed 1545 of them. My focus is in NCR, Empowering thru Education, Skilling & Employability (pre-dominantly the Girl Child / Women) at my Centres In NCR. I also love to conduct General Health Camps, Dental Care Camps , Eye Care camps & Blood Donation Camps along with Workshops on Prevention of Child Abuse & Sexual Harassment at Work Place. My Dream is to work with like-minded people / Corporates to fulfil their & my aspiration of Empowering the Under-served & achieving my Mission – “Skill and Empower the Un-served”.
