Founded in 1969, CWP started out as a small cabinet company in Roanoke servicing the local market and offering a very limited line-up of door styles and wood species. While the product offering was limited at first, people soon recognized the quality and workmanship of the handcrafted cabinets produced, growth and expanded markets soon followed. CWP Custom offers all-wood cabinets, which includes the finest in features: dovetailed hardwood drawers; state-of-the-art Blumotion drawerslides; flush finished ends using a locking miter cornered joint; and natural birch plywood interiors. One of the outstanding aspects of all Custom Wood Product cabinet lines is the 14 step "Custom Guard" finish that's designed to produce a beautiful but tough finish that will give many years of enjoyment with minimum care. The CWP Custom finish is superior to almost all other cabinet makers on the market in that they apply three coatings of finish material, rather than the usual two coats, like most other companies use. This technique results in the most durable finish on the market, which is 50% thicker than almost any other cabinet manufacturer.
