Serrano has been practicing law for over 22 years and has significant experience handling complex civil litigation and representing clients in criminal matters. Since entering private practice, Mr. Serrano has focused on a broad range of litigation matters including white collar crime and federal criminal defense, state criminal defense, personal injury and immigration. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Serrano worked in the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and served as a Trial Attorney in the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division representing the United States in matters involving complex commercial disputes and large-scale government contracts. Previously, Mr. Serrano was a prosecutor in the State of Florida where he conducted over 100 criminal trials. Mr. Serrano also worked as Counsel to the Chairman of the United States Merit Systems Protection Board in Washington, D.C. and as counsel to officials at the United States Department of State. In 1992, Mr. Serrano received a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1986. Mr. Serrano has significant trial and appellate experience and has handled large cases that require synthesizing voluminous amounts of information in a short period of time.
