Senso Comune (Common Sense) is a non profit research organization established in Italy on 2007 with the aim of building a large, open knowledge base of Italian language, with the contribution of a large community of contributors. The initiative is supported by a number of Academic organizations including University of Rome ‘Sapienza’ and ‘Tor Vergata’, University of Bologna, University of Bolzano, and the National Research Council (CNR). The project is lead by Prof. Tullio De Mauro, former Minister for Education and Research, and major Italian linguist.
