Most cervical cancer deaths occurring in developing nations are due to a lack of diagnostic facilities and personnel. To mitigate this lack of healthcare, a team of Enloe High School students designed a menstrual hygiene product that utilizes naturally discharging menstrual blood (menses) to screen for cervical diseases. The Sensible Menstrual Pad aims to provide a low-cost, lab-free, and easy-to-use solution that collects, samples, and analyzes life-threatening diseases.
