The Seneca7 partners with many community organizations that provide important services to area residents. Most of the volunteers at registration, exchange points, and the finish line are from the agencies that the Seneca7 funds. We will once again offer ten charity slots for teams who not only want to race, but want to improve the quality of life in the Finger Lakes via a donation to a well-deserving local charity. We expect that these will also sell out quickly. If your team may be interested, please review the details on the Seneca7 website and be ready for the charity slot offering in December. If all else fails, April 27 doesn't have to find you sitting on the couch finishing off a pint of Ben & Jerry's (this race is not sponsored by Ben & Jerry's, though if you have some connections by which it could be, please let us know-- mmm...ice cream!). Sign up to volunteer, or come to Geneva anyway and watch the race unfold in real-time on the live event tracker. There are many ways to be part of the fun. [October 21, 2013] Back to work! Your paycheck may be on hold, the trip you planned to the Smithsonian was thwarted, and you've had to scramble over barricades just to talk a walk in the national parks, but cheer up, buttercup, the Seneca7 has not shut down! We are hard at work planning the fourth installment of your favorite seven-person relay race. The 2014 edition will be held on Sunday, April 27th, and with a lucky seven in the date, it's sure to be a great day. We know you want to be here with us, on the other side of a long and cold winter (you know it's coming), so this e-mail contains all the information you need to get there. Firstly, we have made some changes to the rules and general operating procedures to make the race safer and more enjoyable for all - and we're serious about enforcement. The new and improved policies and procedures are posted on the website (Seneca7.com) for your advance perusal, but to make sure we're all sympatico, at least one member of your team must be present for the pre-race ...
