The Center for Integrated Manufacturing and Technology, CIMATEC SENAI - Bahia, was inaugurated in 2002 and represents an important support for the training of professionals to work in automated industrial processes, working with state of the art technologies. The CIMATEC is also able to provide specialized services and to promote applied research, with emphasis on computer technology integrated into manufacturing. It has modern laboratories which support the qualification procedures and enables the provision of services. Its main objective is to serve the industry through the actions of education for work, technical services and technological and applied research. Its actions focuses on the following areas of expertise: Manufacturing Processes (machining, mechanical forming, welding); Plastics Processing (materials and tests), Metrology, Production Management, Logistics and Quality, Product Development (design, product engineering, prototyping), Automotive, Industrial automation (mechatronics, electronics and power); Maintenance and professional certification SENAI CIMATEC offers a range of short courses, technological graduation, MBAs and Masters Programs in the related fields mentioned above.
