Seminole’s purpose is to provide safe, affordable, and reliable wholesale power to nine Member distribution electric cooperatives. Seminole’s primary resources include the Seminole Generating Station (SGS) and the Seminole Combined Cycle Facility (SCCF) in Palatka, Florida, the Richard J. Midulla Generating Station (MGS) in Hardee County, Florida, and the Cooperative Solar facility, located on property adjacent to MGS. Approximately 2 million people and businesses in parts of 42 Florida counties rely on Seminole’s Member cooperatives for electricity. Seminole also owns and maintains more than 350 miles of transmission line.
