SEMICAPS was founded in 1989 by lecturers from the National University of Singapore to bring their research innovations to market. Our name stands for Scanning Electron Microscope Image Capturing and Processing System, reflecting our early work building image capture and enhancement accessories for SEMs. Today, SEMICAPS is a world-leading company specializing in the design and manufacture of fault localization laser scanning optical microscopes. Used by top semiconductor companies and laboratories worldwide, our tools are critical to fault isolation (FI) and failure analysis (FA), helping customers ramp up the yield of their latest chip designs by locating faults in engineering samples and early production. They serve design-debug of new ICs, yield improvement on early wafers, customer returns, advanced packaging, and FA/FI services at third-party labs and research institutions. More than half of the world's top 20 semiconductor companies, including over half of the top 10, use our tools for advanced fault localization, failure analysis and design debug. Our equipment is deployed across the world's key semiconductor hubs, with active operations and support in the Singapore, United States, Taiwan, China, and the rest of Southeast Asia.
