Seltris was established in 2001 and is involved in information technology and telecommunications, with a core business dedicated to information management solutions for product traceability, warehouse logistics, and the control and planning of maintenance coordination distribution software. The company is based in Italy on the border of the provinces of Brescia, Mantua and Cremona. In 2005 Seltris developed a major PDS-, Wi-Fi- and barcode-based logistics and mobility project. This led in 2007 to the development of the first version of the Mobile Platform, a software platform with application functions in support of mobile workforces. The founder members are a team of young developers who keep abreast of current solutions in terms of mobile computers, mobile printing, digital signatures, GPRS, Wi-Fi and automatic RFID and barcode identification. Their vocation for innovation quickly enabled Seltris to work with major system integrators of international standing and launch joint ventures with leading industrial and service groups, such as ENI, Alleanza Assicurazioni, STMicroelectronics and Finmeccanica. The services offered by Seltris – consulting, software development, system integration and application management – are highly customized and tailored to meet the customer’s exact specifications.
