The SELECTLOK brand is a key part of the SELECTRIX group, a family owned company founded in 1978. From the very start SELECTRIX has always created hinges and locking systems in Melbourne specifically for the harsh and variant Australian climate. By 1986 rapid growth meant SELECTRIX had to open a Sydney office; the following year saw Perth and Brisbane offices opened. During the 1980’s and 1990’s SELECTRIX continues to push boundaries in their manufacturing process and product design. In 1993 SELECTRIX was awarded the Most Innovative Product Award for its Swing Handle design. In 1997 SELECTRIX secures its first of many worldwide patents and SELECTRIX currently holds over 50 patents. In the new millennium SELECTRIX formed two brands to focus on the distinct sectors it services. SELECTRAIL focuses on developing unique products for railway infrastructure and SELECTLOK which specialises in designing innovative hardy locking systems, including latches, hinges and sealing rubber used for all sorts of applications. SELECTLOK is a market leader in developing locking solutions designed by Australians for the Australian market. We work with our customers to create products that suit their specific needs, allowing them to achieve their long term goals. SELECTLOK continues to work with companies in the government and private sector whose finished products include electrical switchboards, IT server racks, telecommunications cabinets, trucks, service vehicles, buses, trains, trams, 4x4’s, caravans, RVs, trailers, camper trailers and many other applications that require locking, hinging or sealing.
