The Select Group was formed in 2002 under the guidance of our late Chairman Mr. Inder Sharma, a leading figure in the Indian Travel & Tourism industry and the man behind India's largest and most successful travel venture SITA World Travel from the 1950 to the year 2000 (that disinvested to KuoniResien, Switzerland in 2000). SITA world Travel in its time pioneered the travel business winning several National & International accolades. Many individuals contributed towards the growth of SITA such as Ghulam Naqshband, Avinash Anand, Mike Chatterjee & BK Kapoor. Inder Sharma : Children - Neeraj Ghei & Arjun Sharma were the key pillars of the business since 1984. Today Select Group has successfully ventured into several diverse business verticals including hospitality, retail (Select Hotels & Select CITYWALK), travel (Le Passage to India), private equity and organic farming, making each a worthy entrepreneurial landmark. Select CITYWALK is the Group's flagship project. It is a 1.3 million sq. ft. mixed-use development in Saket, the heart of South Delhi, under a joint venture company - Select Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. It comprises of a shopping centre, multiplex, offices, serviced apartments, a 100,000 sq. ft. outdoor plaza and parking space for approximately 1,200 cars. It is India's Most Admired Shopping Destination and a hub for the best of International & Indian brands. The latest entrants at the shopping centre includes brands like Muji, Kate Spade, Hamleys, along with marquee stores of Massimo Dutti, Dior, H&M, Zara, Sephora, Gap, Bobbi Brown, Burberry & Mac among others. The shopping centre is a recipient of 95+ awards, including the award for Images Most Admired Shopping Center in India for the last 10 years.
