Sekopak Information

Sekopak is a recovery organization funded in 2006 by Serbian industry. In 2010 Sekopak was licensed by the state as the first national Operator of packaging waste management. It is the market leader in packaging waste system implementation under the Serbian Law on Packaging and Packaging Waste (“Sluzbeni glasnik RS”, number 36/09) adopted in 2009. Sekopak is supporting practical solutions to be implemented in the sphere of minimising influence packaging and packaging waste has on the environment. Sekopak is implementing the system according to the new packaging legislation regulating packaging waste field in line with EU Directives. Responsible industry is working on implementing the Law through shared responsibility with municipalities and private waste collectors. Sekopak numbers 400+ clint companies and more than 20 partners in the private and communal waste sector in Serbia.
