Secure Roots is a minority-owned cybersecurity practice that has operated in Los Angeles since 2014. We do business today as Secure Roots, LLC. We do the security work organizations need and cannot staff internally: penetration testing, threat and exposure assessment, security program build-out, and fractional CISO leadership. For each engagement we architect the solution first, then assemble and lead a vetted team to deliver it. That puts enterprise-grade capability inside budgets that cannot carry enterprise-grade overhead. Our founder brings more than two decades in the field, including twenty years architecting and running the Security Operations Center for the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering. Lead personnel hold a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute and eleven GIAC and SANS certifications covering incident handling, intrusion analysis, penetration testing, web application security, exploit research, defensible architecture, security leadership, and strategic planning.
