Section is a Cloud-Native Platform as a Service (PaaS) that continuously optimizes the orchestration of global infrastructure to run distributed applications at the right place and time, always. There are thousands of major data centers distributed across the United States alone - many of these data centers powering “Cloud Compute” capabilities. Today every DevOps team has to go through a largely arbitrary process to choose which location on the planet is the right location for their code and then deploy and manage that location. Meanwhile, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) help to free apps from infrastructure, enabling them to work independently and run anywhere. But deploying and managing many K8s clusters across locations and providers is incredibly complex. Section solves for both of these challenges by enabling DevOps teams to simply deploy and manage cloud-native applications adaptively across an open global infrastructure footprint. Section's computational approach via their patented Adaptive Edge Engine pairs intent with demand and resource availability to ensure that applications are always running in the most optimal locations.
