Incorporated in 2015, SEArch+ (Space Exploration Architecture) develops human-supporting design concepts for space. SEArch+ is co- led and operated by Christina Ciardullo, Michael Morris, and Rebeccah Países-Friedman. SEArch+’s formation builds upon a 15 year portfolio of individual members academic Space research, professional practice, and expertise in architecture, industrial design, ecological systems, and robotics. SEArch+ members have collaborative led four NASA X-HAB Studios at Pratt Institute in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021. Team led by Michael Morris, in 2015 SEArch and Clouds AO with a team of subject matter experts, was chosen by NASA Centennial Challenges as the 1st place winner of the 3D Printed Habitat Challenge for their proposal, MARS ICE HOUSE in 2015. In 2019, working with Apis Cor, Search+ won 3 first places in the 5 phased NASA Centennial Challenge winning the best overall design with Mars X House. In addition to working with NASA and Aerospace Corporations, as ongoing team members of NASA MSFC’s Moon to Mars Planetary Autonomous Construction Team ( MMPACT) produced a comprehensive schematic designs for The Moon - THE LUNAR LANTERN ( habitat) and Landing Pads for Icon’s Project Olympus in 2020 currently in design development. Invited to give lectures and papers given at international architectural and scientific forums SEArch+ work has been exhibited and collected by leading museum’s around the globe. THE LUNAR LANTERN video is currently premiering at the City X Venice Italian Virtual Pavilion as part of the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale.
