SeaBot XR Information

We're a United Kingdom based startup, blending commercial maritime crew training and vessel familiarisation with smartphone based virtual reality. We build onboarding and crew training apps for ships and for maritime shorebased training. Using smartphone based 360 photography, 360 filming and synthetic virtual environments we help to reinforcement learning in the commercial maritime sector. Learners interact with a range of learning materials, blended together and easily accessible through their personal devices. Our virtual reality learning creates a new layer in summative assessment to really reinforce the learning and placing the outcomes deeper in terms of understanding and memory retention. We create balance in capability by blending training and familiarisation materials to provide better onboard situational understanding, as well as providing opportunities to practice the abnormal. We harness the power of virtual reality and our knowledge of experiential learning to visualise on and offboard learning from passenger vessel familiarisation to crew handover tools including equipment specific training. By improving memories through visual neural pathways we help to improve safety standards. ​ Our mission is to be the provider of cost effective VR blended smartphone applications, worldwide.
