Sea Turtle Rescue (STR) is a small and diverse group of individuals from all spectrums of culture, ethnic backgrounds, political views, and religions, and countries. Our passion for this special sea creature is the purpose that binds us together in this effort. Sea Turtle Rescue operates helps to foster grass root projects across the globe. Sea Turtle Rescue was formed in 2002 by the Global Preservation Project (GPP). GPP is an international non profit solely dedicated to the preservation of endangered habitat and the life therein. Sea Turtle Rescue is a subsidiary of the Global Preservation Project.
