The SDSVM (Société de développement social de Ville-Marie) is proud to have participated in setting up this project where people from the Maison du pre have offered their services to RCI Environnement to perform diverse warehouse and selective sorting jobs at the Up Roar Festival which took place September 14th, 2011, at l'le Sainte-Hélne. Founded in 1997, RCI Environnement operates a wide range of facilities, a fleet of over 150 specialised trucks and has more than 350 employees. RCI Environnement serves more than 20 000 institutional, commercial and industrial clients as well as cities and municipalities representing over 1.2 million citizens. RCI Environnement offers each client a range of services which includes all phases of the integrated management of waste materials. These services also include needs analysis, identification of management solutions, as well as collection, recycling, sorting and disposal services all within a durable development perspective. Helping the homeless for the last "42 years", the Maison du Pre is much more than a shelter offering meals and a bed. Day after day, its team offers, to those who are in need, the necessary help to get off the street and support services to help prevent at risk people from returning to the street.
