Founded by Erin Scholes, SD Meetings and Events was born out of a strong desire to organize superior meetings and events. Erin’s background includes over twenty years of hospitality and event management experience, with eight years as the Director of Catering and Convention Services at a luxury property in Downtown, San Diego. She has been a member of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2000 and is a faculty member for San Diego State University’s Hospitality and Tourism program. Recognized nationally for her success, Erin has received numerous awards including the coveted MPI Chair’s Award and the Nancy Morrell-Swanson Visionary Award. She has also earned the respected professional destinations of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP), Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) and Digital Event Strategist (DES).
