Scuba Network is a purpose-driven data platform transforming everyday dives into meaningful citizen-science contributions. We aggregate diver-generated data — including dive logs, environmental conditions, marine observations, and media — into a single, structured platform that benefits both divers and the wider ocean science and conservation community. Our mission is to make this data useful at scale: improving dive safety and accessibility while contributing reliable, standardised ocean data for research, monitoring, and protection efforts. Designed for scuba divers, freedivers, and snorkellers, Scuba Network connects individual experiences to a broader global picture of ocean health. By integrating data from dive computers, logs, and imagery, we help turn fragmented information into interoperable datasets that can support biodiversity monitoring, reef health assessments, and long-term environmental insights. We work closely with scientists, NGOs, training agencies, and dive-industry partners to ensure the data collected aligns with open-data principles and real scientific needs. Our platform prioritises usability, accessibility, and trust — making it easy for divers to contribute, and easy for researchers and conservation organisations to apply that data responsibly. At its core, Scuba Network is built on a simple belief: If we want to protect the ocean, we need better data — and the dive community is uniquely positioned to help collect it.
