ScrollAware Information

ScrollAware is a new social enterprise (with many high profile partnerships already in place) to tackle societal tech addiction. We are also in conversation with some exciting high profile patrons and ambassadors. A national (potentially international) #LessScrollMoreSoul campaign is kicking off soon. What we're up against: The average person now spends >5 hours a day in infinite-scroll with 93% of an 18 year old's free time projected to be spent scrolling for the rest of their lives. The average child spends less time outdoors than a high-security inmate. Loneliness, anxiety, and distraction are spiralling. You already feel it. So do your customers, staff, friends, family... Whilst the public zeitgeist is shifting around this subject with concern and commentary growing, many current initiatives are discounted as doom-mongering (even if truth-telling!) and/or luddite. As such, ScrollAware will have a fabulous opportunity to uniquely shape a more positive conversation with measurable targets for behavioural change that invert the scroll:soul ratio. This initiative is not-for-profit (charity-status pending) and non-partisan. It is a more positive, antidote-based take on the challenge and less anti-tech or anti-phone as pro-people and pro-more intentional tech habits. 'Less Scroll' targets the attention (addiction!) economy-incentives and their behavioural impact primarily, with 'More Soul' reminding people daily to act on the age-old, life-affirming benefits of offline living - prioritising people, place and perspective and re-emphasising the benefits of nature, sport, community, the arts and more.
