Screen BC Information

It started as a grassroots industry working group three decades ago, formalized in 2002 as a Non-Profit Society, the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia (MPPIA). Rebranded in 2024 as Screen BC, this volunteer collaboration today represents 140+ member organizations, companies and freelance professionals from across the industry ecosystem including studios, labour, Canadian and US employers/producers, specialized equipment suppliers, professional services, animation & visual effects and post production interests. Acting on strengths in advocacy, and industry, government and community engagement, Screen BC is a force for the strategy and values driving BC’s success in the global production industry.
