Scout Information

Scout is a design and development practice reimagining how buildings can be transformed into meaningful and compelling spaces for people to experiment, grow, and succeed together. Work includes the award-winning transformation of the historic Bok Building in Philadelphia and the thoughtful redevelopment of a manufacturing building in Providence RI to support workforce development opportunities and artists. Current focus is on the transformation of the iconic University of the Arts' building at Broad in Pine in Philadelphia into the Village of Industry & Art. Our vision is to continue to support working artists and cultural organizations in the heart of our city and to thoughtful approach this sacred creative space as civic infrastructure. We envision a world where art is not separate from life. Past awards include Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia Grand Jury Award, Special Mention by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Americas Awards of Excellence, Dezeen Award in Rebirth category, Charter Award from the Congress of New Urbanism, among others.
