In January, 2008, the Scotts Valley Tribal TANF ("SVTT") program opened its doors to Contra Costa Native American participants to provide services and benefits to allow for complete economic self-sufficiency. Under the leadership and guiding hand of Executive Director Jacquie Van Huss, the SVTT program is expanding its outreach to Native American families living in Contra Costa County by serving more families and adding more services to better meet its goals and objectives. Along with job preparation and economic self-sufficiency, SVTT also provides life skills training on site such as CPR, nutrition and parenting classes.
