It's wholly owned by Newsquest (Herald and Times) Ltd, the same company that owns Scotland's best-selling quality newspaper, The Herald, and Scotland's most popular recruitment website, s1jobs. It was set up in July 2004 in recognition of the fact that a "generalist" recruitment site simply could not properly address the detailed requirements of both employer and jobseeker within the Scottish legal profession.
