Scottish Brewing Information

ScottishBrewing.com launched in 2004 with the objective of being a portal for information on Scotland's craft breweries. After a massive decline in the 1960s and 70s due primarily to rationalisation, Scotland's brewing heritage has been revived by an ever increasing number of small, independent brewers focused on quality products. While nearly all of the new brewers continue the great tradition of cask-conditioning, they have also expanded the styles of beers brewed in Scotland providing greater variety to their customers. Everything on the site is researched, written, and administered by the author. Although the site is hosted from the United States, the author has made and maintains a number of personal relationships with Scottish brewers and visits breweries at every opportunity. Further information is culled from newspapers, other websites, and a multitude of books and periodicals. Every attempt is made to keep the information both timely and accurate; however, mistakes and omissions do happen so please get in touch should you be able to help in correcting any errors.
